Hoxne Music Festival Day 1: Marici Saxes
Marici Saxes are a highly accomplished all female saxophone quartet whose repertoire ranges from jazz standards to classical and includes music from the shows too. They have performed on world tours with international pop artistes such as String and Seal. As well as chamber music they also play regularly with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic and BBC Concert Orchestra.

Hoxne Music Festival Day 2: Mike Sanchez Rhythm and Blues and Rock and Roll Band
Mike Sanchez Rhythm and Blues and Rock and Roll Band are one of the most talented and highly entertaining acts around and guaranteed to provide high octane music for bopping! The front man is a singer, guitarist and boogie-woogie pianist who has played with all the top names in the business. For four years Mike Sanchez toured the world with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings alongside Georgie Fame, Albert Lee, Beverley Skeete and Andy Fairweather-Low.

Supporting will be Sam and Daisy, who are a sibling duo based in East Anglia playing popular covers from the 50's to the present day. Having played around the area for some years, performances have included Jimmy and Michaela Doherty’s Wedding, Harvest at Jimmy’s Festival, Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival and support slots for Tony Hadley and Suzi Quatro.

Hoxne Music Festival Day 3: Amphion Consort
The six piece Amphion Consort will be a treat for classical music lovers. Their Heavenly Noyse concert programme features music from the Elizabethan era with little known instruments such as the cittern, bandora and bass viol as well as a lute, violin and flute.

Billingford Flower Festival
Flower festival at St Leonard Church Billingford over the May spring bank holiday weekend. Theme of the festival is occupations through the ages. Refreshments, light lunches, cream teas. Entry is free.

Hoxne Film Night in the Village hall - Sherringham Shantymen
America’s Number 1 box office hit, directed by Lee Daniels, stars Forest Whitaker as the White House butler Cecil Gaines, who serves under eight presi-dents and observes key events in the history of the United States of America. Through the eyes and emo-tions of the Gaines family, Daniels’ film follows the changing tides of American politics and race rela-tions; from the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, to the Freedom Riders and Black Panther movements, to the war in Vietnam and the Watergate scandal, Cecil experiences the effects of these events as both an insider and a family man.
