It is hoped the new Village Sign will be erected and unveiled today, St Edmund’

Day. All is on track to achieve this and a short ceremony will take place with the

unveiling at 12 noon. 

20 1150th Anniversary of St Edmund’s martyrdom

Bishop Mike will be rededicating the ‘Great Oak Screen’ in its’ new position

In the North Aisle.  The name St Edmund will be added to the dedication of our

Church, which will be then known as St Peter, St Paul and St Edmund.

Festival of Christmas Trees in Hoxne Church December 2019

 

We would very much appreciate your involvement in the Hoxne Festival of Trees for Christmas 2019. If you would like to provide and decorate a tree, here are some guidelines to help with your planning.

Please set up your tree in Hoxne Church on Saturday 14th December between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.The theme is Christmas Carols or Christmas Songs as last yearTrees can be real ones or artificial ones in any colourTrees should ideally be 4ft to 5ft in heightChristmas lights must be battery operatedThe trees will be on display to the public from Sunday 15th December 2019 until Friday 3rd January 2020Trees will be cleared on Saturday 4th January 2020 between  10.00am and 12.00 noonThe displays will be manned from 19th to 24th December from 11.00am to 3.00pm when all tree lights will be turned on and tea/coffee available for visitorsThe trees will also be lit for any services which take place in the church between 15th December and 26th December
